Autumn splendour at Dawyck Botanic Garden
November 15th 2016Garden lovers are invited to visit Scotland’s gardens this autumn
There’s still time to see this season’s stunning colours but hurry while the mild weather lasts. In images taken at the beginning of the month Dawyck Botanic Garden, a member of Discover Scottish Gardens (DSG), showcases its plant collections in all their autumnal glory, a timely reminder that the garden remains open throughout November.
Discover Scottish Gardens (DSG), a national tourism group, aims to highlight Scotland’s diverse garden offering, and to inspire more people to discover new gardens and nurseries across the country by providing easy access to events and seasonal activities on their website.
DSG already boasts a wide-reaching network of over 120 gardens across all regions of Scotland where many gardens stay open for visitors over the winter months.
Catherine Erskine, Chair of Discover Scottish Gardens, said: “Garden tourism is growing worldwide and Scotland has so much to offer garden tourists, whether they are locals, day trippers or visitors from abroad. Many of Scotland’s gardens are open all year-round, or at least well into the autumn, and with stunning Autumn displays right on our doorstep, all our member gardens look forward to welcoming visitors.”
Dawyck Botanic Garden is open every day in November from 10am until 4pm.
