Changes to Armadale Castle opening arrangements in 2022

March 1st 2022

Armadale Castle is undertaking necessary works across the site during 2022. As a result they are changing their opening arrangements this year.

They regret that the museum and café will be closed for 2022. The gardens, playpark and gift shop will be open 5 days a week, Wednesday – Sunday 9.30 – 5.30 (last entrance 5pm), from Wednesday 13 April. Toilets in the Stables will remain open for visitors. They are adjusting our ticket pricing this year to reflect these changes.

Please check their website Plan Your Visit pages and social media before you travel in case of any further updates. They will strive to keep the gardens open for everyone to enjoy but please be aware there may be disruption from time to time.

Alex Stoddart, CEO of Clan Donald Lands Trust, said: “This will be a year like no other and I’d like to thank everyone for their patience, support and understanding. We’re sorry that it won’t be ‘business as usual’ but we will emerge stronger, more resilient and ready to deliver on a wide range of exciting plans for the future. With areas of our operations closed we will take the opportunity to have conversations with our valued local community and other stakeholders about our plans and long-term vision.”

The annual music competitions and some other events will still go ahead – check their Events pages and social media for updates.
