Using a printed guide provided at the Visitor Centre, participants are able to follow a self-guided trail around some of Threave Garden's 64 acres. Along the trail they will see a number of our varied collection of trees including Scottish and British champions, interesting groups and rarities. Autumn interest in leaf, bark and fruit can be seen in the many Ilex, Sorbus and Acer within the grounds amongst others from the diverse range of trees and shrubs. New additions continue to be planted by students of the School of Heritage Gardening to enhance the garden and develop the collection.
