Ardkinglas Estate, Glorious Gardens of Argyll
A historic garden with plantings from the late 1700s. In spring we have a glorious display of bluebells and rhododendrons but there is something of interest all year. Come and hug the "mightiest conifer in Europe" and admire the other champion trees here or stop a while in the scriptorium and enjoy the many quotes that adorn the walls from Voltaire to Spike Milligan. Our red squirrels are regularly seen and the Gruffalo trail and Fairy trail are a fun addition for the kids. We also have a new fun slide at the garden, fun for all!
How to find us
Situated in Cairndow village just off the A83. Buses run to the war memorial at Cairndow. The nearest station is at Arrochar.
