Hugh Miller's Birthplace Museum
This thatched cottage was the birthplace of one of the great Scots of the 19th century Hugh Miller - a fossil hunter, folklorist, geologist, stonemason and social justice campaigner. The handsome Georgian villa, now an interactive museum, was built by his father. Outside the Garden of Wonders is a beautiful place to take a breath of fresh air.
