With each new season, the gardens are an explosion of colour and texture with borders planted to demonstrate a wide variety of plants and growing conditions. Whatever the weather, whatever the season there‚ always something to delight to the eye and engage the senses. There is something for everyone, horticulturalists will be inspired by the UK's most northerly Botanic Gardens, families may explore many hidden corners, you can enjoy a stroll with friends or just sit in the peaceful surroundings.
Locally raised plants, all of which are cultivated by our gardeners or supplied by highly regarded local nurseries, are on show in the gardens and glasshouses and available to buy from our sales area at competitive prices.
